It's simple days like these that remind me life is good.

What. A. Day.
I believe this is how all Sunday's should be. (No work on Sunday's is divine.)
I was blessed to have the opportunity of seeing some friends I haven't seen for a while, as well as catch up with some family members who are normally pretty dang busy during the week (or who live elsewhere).

The day started with picking Curbs up to go to Stu's mission farewell. (If you didn't see the post about Stu, he's going to Lansing, Michigan for two years. He leaves on Wednesday. Ahh!) In that meeting, Stuart made me CRY. That's right, his way with words is inspiring and his testimony floors me. Good for him.

After the meeting, I visited with some good friends (Chris and DJ), and then took Curbs home. However, before he got out of the car, I made him take a few pictures with me. Why? Because I hadn't seen him in 3 and a half weeks, that's why! I sure missed him so it was good to catch up.

Fast forward to Dano and I at home, eating super healthy lunches (sarcasm, in case you couldn't tell), to spilling our guts out for about 4 hours straight. Can you believe that? We were really just chatting the whole time. From that I learned two things:

1. My sister's awesome. (Well, I already knew that obviously but this pow wow reaffirmed it once again to me.) And...

2. Time truly does fly when you're having fun.

After a scrumptious dinner prepared for by Mama, Dano obliged me in letting me take pictures of her... and isn't she beautiful? My favorite is below:

It just seems so Dano to me! Especially accompanied by the light snowfall. Her smile is refreshing to my SOUL.

Following the shoot, Keke and Dare Bear came over to our home, where we exchanged cutie-patootie Valentine's day cards and candies. (I am officially sugared out as of this moment.)

After that, we sat around the fire and exchanged stories from our childhoods and ladies and gentlemen, I don't think I've laughed that hard in MONTHS! How funny are little kids? And how much funnIER is picturing our loved ones do stupid things as kids?

After Keke and Dare Bear left to go back home, Mama, Paps, and Dano agreed to watch Harper's Island with me, a super scary mini TV series resembling the plot of Agatha Christie's novel, "And Then There Were None/Ten Little Indians". Gee wilickers it's intense! And though my family aren't as big of fans as it as I am, they were sure awesome to give it a try with me!

And that brings us to now, my friends. I am sitting on my bed, typing this blog post and wondering how I got so lucky in this life to be blessed with such wonderful people. If I've mentioned you in this post, I for sure love you. If I haven't... I still for sure love you. Basically, unless I've ever said, "I don't love you," you can pretty much assume you're on my favorites list:)

It's my Daddy's birthday today.
I was supposed to be born on this day but instead, I came early so as to let my wonderful father have this day all to himself. Why? Because he deserves it! He is extraordinary!
Let's start from the beginning, shall we?

A couple weeks ago, for my birthday, my good friend, DJ, asked me to accompany him to a Jazz game on the 30th of January... Ummmm has everybody been to a Jazz game but me?? WE ARE UTAH. Oh my heavens it was the greatest thing ever!! The music, the energy, the GAME! However, I'm getting ahead of myself...

DJ was planning on picking me up at 4:20pm but after not getting home from my last shift at VS until 2am that morning and then waking up a few hours later for my last shift at the doctor's office, I was exhausted by the time I got home. So exhausted in fact that when I got home at 3:00, I decided to lay down for five minutes... at 4:12 I wake up to the garage opening... My stomach dropped to the ground. Ladies and gents, 8 minutes to get ready for a date...? Impossible. However, thanks to a miracle and DJ being so kind to get gasoline beforehand, once he arrived at my house, I only made him wait in my front room for about two minutes. Not too shabby, eh?

The way up to Salt Lake was a joyous one; filled with music, jokes, and the gossip of the town (just kidding about that last part), and eventually we got off the freeway and ended up driving through and around a small neighborhood... since I am wretched with directions, I just presumed this was a special way to get to Energy Solutions but eventually, I paid attention to my surroundings and and BOOM. Where could we be the one and only Mr. and Mrs. Daren Lifferth's house!

After a few comings, goings, and shuffling around, eventually, the four of us enjoyed delicious salad, garlic bread, root beer (on tap), and pizza at Litza's Pizza. De-lish! Unfortunately though, dinner had to come to an end ultimately we bid the two lovebirds adieu and made our way to the game...

It was the funnest thing ever!!!!!!! I have been missing OUT the seven years I have been living in dear old Utah. My goodness, as mentioned before, the energy was incredible. There was cheering, and laughing, occasional booing, but most importantly, liveliness. I've been missing liveliness in my personal life recently so this was... refreshing, to say the least.

Thankfully, after a nail biting game (for me anyway) the Jazz beat the trail blazers, 93-89. Go Jazz Go! Go Jazz Go! Go Jazz Go! There was much celebrating, but the coolest of all was the streamers that came down from the ceiling on the final buzzer. That was a first, that's for sure:

Following Dare Bear and Keke being real gems and picking us up at the stadium, DJ and I drove safely back to Utah County (in Santana the Silverado), in which when we arrived to my home, we had a lovely pow wow about life, and then called it a night because unfortunately, our hectic lives that we had just spent an hour talking about, had to resume eventually.

... But I wish it didn't have to! Deej, thanks so much for my birthday present and being so kind by involving my sister and her husband as a surprise... Due to work on Sunday, I wasn't able to see her at family dinner and so I had really missed her. You're so thoughtful DJ, I really needed that. THANK YOU!!

Oh, I almost forgot! We unintentionally sat close to a friend from high school! It was quite a surprise. Here he is:

I learned this today. Gee wiz, I learned it well.

It would appear I have an acquaintance who doesn't like me very much...

And that's all I'm going to say about her.

Why?

Because I am not going to stoop to her level.

However, I am going to stand up for myself and say two things:

Last I checked, she has no right to judge. ("Girl, you don't know my life!" Quote modified from Baby Mama.)
She is now blocked on every wave of communciation possible... so I guess that's the last I'll ever hear from her again. (Haha!)

But in all seriousness, I'm through with the bullying and harassment and I must say, I am ever so excited to be FREE.

For those who noticed, the information in the 'about me' section has changed. Yes, I still believe there is beauty in every day life but now, ladies and gentleman, I am a waitress at a local restaurant about five minutes from my house. Basically, it's the perfect fit.

Although, it meant saying goodbye to my retail job. In the grand scheme of things, nine months is not a very long time. However, after investing so much time and emotion into a job, it seems like an eternity and it was harder than I thought to say goodbye. I have learned numerous lessons both about life and retail that I hope to never forget.

I will forever carry a great sense of pride in my store (no matter what anyone else says or thinks about it) and who knows? Maybe I'll have the pleasure of working there again one day. Ya know, for the holidays or something fun like that. (Yes, yes I like that idea very much.)

A HUGE thank you to my co-workers who I now consider friends, for their endless patience and everlasting smiles. Y'all are amazing and I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm going to miss you all. Very, very much.

It was my birthday on Sunday. Crazy, I know. I just had my birthday last year! But alas, 18 couldn't last forever so 19 is officially here. A HUGE thank you to all who made it so special and wished me a happy birthday, you guys are fantastic.

On a related note, here is how I celebrated:
Sunday birthdays are kind of difficult to do actual activities and since on Saturday I had school from 8-3 and then work from 5-10, this handsome young man took me out to dinner on Friday night.
Can you guess where? I will give you four hints:
1. They write their name upside-down and backwards on the table with crayon.
2. It's Italian.
3. There's opera singing randomly throughout then night.
4. The food's really good.
Did you get it? .... Macaroni Grill! I had never been there before but it is DELICIOUS! Wow. My mouth may or may not be watering just thinking of it. Thank you Mr. C, for such a wonderful dinner and night. You are the best.

As I mentioned earlier, Saturday was extremely busy with no birthday celebrations except for one indulgent thing I did... After work, I came home, changed into my footie pajamas, and watched one of my favorite movies, Tangled. Oh my, oh my it was fantastic. Thank you Rapunzel and Eugene for celebrating my birthday eve with me.

On my actual birth day, I went to church with my sister where I tattooed my hand with blue pen liberally, which was rather enjoyable.

...Oh and I also held a baby. A real live one too. Now, for many of you, this doesn't mean anything but for me? It's a break through! I love babies but they don't love me. They always cry. However, this little angel didn't! As my Mom said, It must have sensed I was 19 and responsible now. What can I say, it was a smart baby.

After church, I took a nap, played in the back yard with Brannigan, ate waffles, opened presents, watched 'Date Night' with the fam bam, had a birthday visitor, and then went to bed. Pretty eventful, right? Thank you family, for making me feel so special. I am so blessed.

Remember last year on my birthday how I got kidnapped by Mary, Jake, and Curtis? (If you don't, you can see the video HERE.) Well guess what. My birthday came and went and no kidnapping. I was safe. At least I thought... at 7:00 am on Monday morning two people enter my room and who could it be? Jake and Curtis. (Mary's at college in Idaho...) Well hello friends! I didn't see this one coming! They, along with Jake's lady friend, Maddie, took me to the International House Of Pancakes where I enjoyed a lovely plate of hasbrowns and the company of my dear, dear friends.

Afterward, I came home, slept til 12, and then left the house at 1:00 to go up to Salt Lake to visit Keke and Dare Bear, following which, the 6 of us headed down to Fashion Place in Murray where we all participated in my favorite pastime, SHOPPING. Oh heavens, it was divine. Here are just two of the many, many purchases I made thanks to a very lovely, and very patient family.

After a very productive shopping trip, we went to one of my favorite places to eat, Applebee's! I know, I'm so weird. But I love their boneless chicken wings and oriental salad. It makes me feel like I'm in heaven. And look at my beautiful family!

After a very yummy caramel ice cream birthday dessert, we came home and watched 'The Bachelor' with friends. Their drama makes me feel better about my own drama:)

My goodness, what a wonderful few days. I can't thank my lovely friends and family enough for their love and kindness towards me on not only my birthday but also every day of the year. Sometimes I forget it, but I am an extremely blessed individual with love all around. Thanks everyone. Y'all are the best, thee absolute best.

Yesterday, I felt like it was my birthday.
I woke up at 6 am sharp to start my day.
Why did I commit such a travesty, you ask?
Because it was BIO test time.
I passed. (Glory!)
Before I knew it, Mama, Curbs, The Birthday Girl, and I, were in the car and heading up to 'Fashion Place Mall.' (Daddy was in Iowa visiting his sister and Dare Bear and Keke were going to meet us up there.)
At Fashion Place Mall is a beautiful store that opened about a week ago.
I don't know if you've ever heard of it, it's called umm... H&M... anybody, anybody?:)
OH MY LANTA!!! It was fantastic. If you 'Utahn's' have not been yet, I deeply encourage you to do so. It will change your life.
Okay, maybe not your life but it will put a snazzy spin on your wardrobe!
I got this dress...

...and I'm kind of obsessed with it.
The accessory possibilities are literally endless.
I feel like I might explode a little. (of joy of course).
Oh, also, I feel like a pretty ballerina when I wear it.
You can't beat that, right?

After shopping we went to the one and only, 'Cheesecake Factory.'
Num. Yummy.
Oh my.
I had never been before yesterday but wow. Let's just say, I'm a fan now.
Oh and my life has been changed.
(Literally changed this time.)

After dinner, Joe, our fantisimo waiter, delivered a piece of cheesecake to Dano. However, it wasn't exactly spelled right. "Um... who's Daniel?" Priceless.

To finish the night, we came home and watched "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," the tale of violence, love, and more violence. Good times.

Have any of you ever heard of freecrappyportraits.com? A friend of mine showed it to me and I immediately knew I just had to do it.

But wait. What is this exactly? Well. Here is the info on their page:

Brannigan is 6 months old.

And isn't he just the cutest?

These days his hobbies include teething, playing, running, playing fetch, eating, and sitting on people's laps. (However, please keep in mind he weighs about 65lbs. Yeah... it kind of hurts.)

Remember when we first got him? (click here) He was so little then! But as cute as he was then, I think he still just as cute. And I must say... I still want to squeeze him equally as much... if not more so.)

When I have Bio and Psych reading to do, I get strangley OCD about my room and have to clean it. (And I mean deep clean. Like scrub, sort, and organize.)

I guess the moral of this story is that it's amazing what one will do when said one has a total of 7 chapters to read... eesh. I just shuddered thinking about it.

The Starbiz premiere was tonight.

Ya know, that thing I've been mentioning for what, months now?!

Well. It aired tonight at 7 and can I please just say how proud of my Paps I was?

He has worked literally countless hours, both night and day on this project and it was fanTABulous! (yes fantabulous. nice, right?)

Anyway, putting my bias' aside, it was a super entertaining and very educational (No, children, this wasn't school like-educational, so don't close this door yet). I learned so much about music. Holy hannah, ladies and gents, there is so much that goes into the music and lyrics of songs that I had absolutely no idea about!

Impressed.

Crazy-cray-cray impressed. (yes, crazy-cray-cray).

It's inspired me to write my own song....

Hahahaha just kidding!!!!

I am not musically inclined in that way, shape, or form.

So I'll just leave it to the professionals on Starbiz.

The final day was a day of sadness. No, not because sad events occurred but because, I'm going to be completely honest and tell you that I had no desire to leave the lake. It's official: boating is now a hobby of mine.

The final day was a day of exploring. We went 'the narrows'. Kinda. Basically it's where two cliffs nearly meet, creating a small opening to swim through. As you swim along it gets narrower and narrower until you cannot swim any further. LOVED IT.

The final day was a day of Kanab. Kanab is a very small city in southern Utah. In fact, it's so small, it has a dummy placed in a police car near the entrance of the city to slow down incoming traffic. We left the lake early that day to sleep over night in Kanab but before doing so, we ate at Nedra's. Has anyone ever been? It's very yummy and a Kanab must!

The (actual) final day was a day of thrift store shopping. I got a pair of shoes for two buck-a-roos! (Sorry, I had to rhyme.) Then, we drove the 5 hour drive home and that was that.

Was that a good trip, or what???

So. With that said, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Killpack family for their indescribable hospitality. Truly, they were so kind to let me join their family for the week and it was such fun to have a new experience with them.

As I was writing the final post of the Lake Powell trip, I remembered two important details that I failed to mention in my last blog. Shame on me! But the truth is, they're not all that great or enticing. It's just that if I forget, I will be shamed faced....

The first one starts on the second day, in which I felt a cold coming on. Oh no. No cold for me. Not on my one and only vacation for the year! So I took zyrtec that night before I went to bed. Then, the next morning I woke up and still felt sick! So what did I do? I decided it'd be best if I took another dose of zyrtec. Ya know, just to be safe.

Bad idea.

By lunch time, I felt strange. Very, very strange. And for some strange reason, I could not keep my eyes open. Ladies and gentleman, did you know that zyrtec lasts 24 hours? Yep. I had accidentally overdosed. So, due to the Killpack's kindness, I was able to sleep it off in the boat. When I woke, I was feeling fresh and wonderful! However, I can assure you that I did not take any zyrtec for the rest of the trip despite how I was feeling.

The second story is really short. Basically a storm came while Curbs and I were out on the wave runner and I felt like we were gonna die due to the incredibly high waves and pouring rain.... that's all.

If I was an adrenalin junkie, I have a feeling I'd think that was pretty sweet.

The group of us went to Rainbow Arch, hiked a wee bit (and by wee I mean super wee) and took a picture of a Dinosaur Fossil in 100,000,000 degree fahrenheit weather.
Better?

Okay. Maybe you guys aren't loving all the pictures of the cliffs because maybe they're 1000 times cooler in person but I think they're awesome. Especially when I think about how they at one time were completely under water. Wow. That's intense. Gives me chills.

This is Christine. Here she is showing us a picture of the dinosaur that made the fossil. Can you see it? It's multicolored!... okay so they don't know that for sure but it's still a rippin' rad hypothesis.

And finally, the long awaited picture of the group at Rainbow Arch. It was beautiful to the point of being serene, actually. I can see why it is spiritual to the Indians who used to live there.

Day 2 of the Lake Powell trip was the first full day out on the lake. Was it wonderful, or was it wonderful? It was wonderful.

Melissa, Miranda, and I pumped for the lake.

It's the BEST!

However, I may or may not have hit my head on the water and gotten whip lash... it was intense, to say the least.

THE CAR RIDE:

My callasses started to peel off my feet from dance. How sad. Years and years of work just falling off. What a shame. (I ended up cutting it off. Yummy, huh?)

We entertained ourselves by taking lots of pictures. We are just so photogenic, I can't handle it. ;)

About 6 hours later, we ended up in Paige, Arizona. It was hot. 500 degrees to be exact. But don't worry, we went to the lake right away and cooled off for an hour or two. But that is only where the story begins...

Guess what friends? Tomorrow I am heading down to Lake Powell with Mr. C and his fam bam so before I leave, I want to leave my blog on a good note. My last post was a little intense. So. Let's talk about happy things, shall we?

10 days ago, Mr. C and I went on a date. Part of that date was to Color Me Mine. Have any of you guys been there before? It's so much fun!!! I felt like I could have spent hours in there. I want to go back asapers. But what did I paint this time, you ask? No, I will not tell you but I will show you....

Ta da!!! I am in love with it. Since it's been a little toasty for herbal tea these past few days, I have been drinking my morning orange juice in it. It's been wonderful and has started my day right each time.

Mr. C painted a unicorn... one of these days, I'll get a picture and show it to you. It's quite fantastic if I do say so myself. But ya never know, maybe I'm biased... :)

This is the meanest post I've ever written... but nobody talks to my loved ones that way.

Dear "celebrity" who was rude to my mother, sister, and friend,

First and foremost, please get it into your itty bitty head that you are not a celebrity. No one has ever heard of you... or your band for that matter. And if they have heard of your band, they don't know who the heck you are. Why? Because youre the key board player. And let's face it, who's the keyboarder for Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, or Demi Lovato? Anyone, Bueler, anyone...? Exactly. Nobody freakin' knows. Therefore, you have absolutely no right to get "special treatment" or even expect it. So. I'm going to ask you one question, "celebrity", what gives you the right? Because as far as I'm concerned, you're just like everybody else. If not, lower, because most people don't treat others the way you do. I don't know how you've come to this conclusion that you're talented but... you're not. So don't be a.... excuse me, how about I just say, don't be rude. Does that work? K thanks.

Oh, also, one last thing: If you wanted to tell your non-celebrity girlfriend to go away and never come back, that'd be okay with me. She's even less famous than you are. (and as i said before, you're not famous at all so.... whatever's lower than nothing is what she is.... congratulations ms. non-celebrity. you're a real catch.)

So today during my down time here at the studio, I watched the movie, You Again starring Kristen Bell. (She is one of my favorites.) And I busted up laughing at Kristen Bell's face at one part... so I took screenshots of these particular moments. (Shown below...)

Kristen Bell is the one on the left and she has just had food dumped on her. But doesn't she look so funny? Cute almost. Like a little girl who has been 'shamed faced'.

Haha oh the joys of bein bored on set. That's right, I've been here since 7:50 this morning and it's now 9:08pm. And guess what? There's no end in sight. I guess this is what they mean when they say there's no business like show business...

Can I please just tell you about yesterday? It was awesome. For no reason in particular but for several little things that with a little here, and a little there, managed to make my day.

It started badly though. I woke up STARVING. I needed breakfast. I had chosen Life cereal, reached into the fridge for the milk, nearly started pouring when BAM! I saw a blue lid. Do you know what the blue lid means? 2%. And I strongly dislike 2%. So I begrudgingly ended up having a muffin. But it tasted funny. So after two bites, I spat it out and got ready for work. Still hungry.

Where do I work you ask? I'm still not telling. Why? I don't really know. But I'll tell you one of these days. Okay but it wasn't this mysterious work that I was scheduled to work at yesterday. Yesterday I was working at Starbiz. And I'm going to be completely honest and tell you that it's not my favorite place to work. (Not for any specific reason though. It's kind of just difficult to explain.... but you talked me into it and I shall try my best... When I was younger I would attend film shoots my Mommy and Daddy were apart of and I would get very bossed around. And I hated it. So these days, I am weary to come back on film sets because of that fear. It sounds dramatic but it's the truth. Anyway...)

Eventually I hesitantly walked into the building, and began to work. And guess what? The time flew by, I met people and made friends, and before I knew it, we were wrapped for the day! Wow. That was the fastest day EVER!

My cousin, Aria, is also working on set and so we drove home together. While she was dropping me off she said, "Hey Sash, do you want to go on a run with me?" And for some crazy reason, I heard the word 'yes' come out of my mouth. What?!? For those of you who don't know me (or do know me for that matter), I am not a runner. I've tried but have never been successful. However, 30 minutes later, Aria was picking me up and we headed to the high school track. Ladies and gents, boys and girls, I would like to inform you all that I ran TWO whole miles. That is a complete miracle for me! (Oh and we ran stairs after. Yeah, nbd. We're awesome.)

Following the eternal run, I came home, hoping to take a cold shower but found my singles ward FHE was being held at my house. So of course I was roped into that. But to my surprise, I had a splendid time making shirts for our ultimate Frisbee competition coming up. (Go Team 'Bunch Of Bananas'!)

Following the closing prayer, I ran upstairs to shower because... the Bachelorette finale was on! And when I came downstairs, Amy (Dano's cutie patootie friend), Brandon (a contestant on this week's StarBiz shoot--haha so random but so delightful--) and Aria were at my house all waiting to watch Ashley break the heart of one man and find love in another.

Two hours later and this was the result...

Yay Ashely and J.P! How exciting it is to be in love. Anywho... that was the end of my day. As I said earlier, there was no specific reason for it being amazing but that's how it turned out. And I'm not entirely sure what made it that way but if you were apart of it in even the simplicity of a friendly smile, I would like to say, thank you.

There was lots of beauty this evening.
First, there was a sunset. So, naturally, I ran outside in my pj's and high bun to go capture it. Unfortunately, I forgot that cars would be driving by on the street. I got honked at multiple times. [Beacause of my beauty, obviously;)]

Remember that one time I went to Prom with Curbs? Well the day date was supposed to be Lagoon. (a themepark her in UT) but it was raining so we decided not to go. Well yesterday, we celebrated our prom day date by actually going! It was tres, tres fun.

This is me and Curbs. Here we are in line for log flume. (It was 91 degrees outside. And I was in black jeans. Yeah, we tried to go on as many water rides as possible.)

Okay pause. We saw a SWEET show with acrobats. Lots and lots of acrobats. And they were so cool! Oh my heavens. It made me wish I was an acrobat. Goodness, I have so much respect for people who have worked and worked and worked to a point where they truly become like... not human.

Last week, a couple girls and I went to Provo's outdoor rooftop concert. Can it get get better than that?! It was absolutely wonderful. Why? Because there was lots of laughing, pictures, singing (a Beatles sing-a-long mind you), and fireworks (to the song, 'Hey Jude')! Oh, and a hottie boom ba lottie 50's man that we stalked. Yesterday, Katie, Dano, and I, went dress shopping... And I took lots of pictures. I want to document this whole experience. Why? Because I love weddings! So very much. And I'm kind of living through her I guess you could say....

Here are a few of the dresses she tried on. (However, the one she's leaning towards in not pictured because I believe the dress should be a surprise for all to see on her magical day! Ah! I am seriously so, so happy for her! I cannot wait for you all to see it and it's not even my wedding!)

Also, please know that though the dresses you are about to see are immodest, the idea was that they would be built up to have sleeves and a higher neckline... just in case you were wondering...

My Dad was thrown a curve ball. He was landed with three girls. No sons, no nothing. So he has been outnumbered for a very long time. However, may I say, how amazing he is for taking it all in his stride? Goodness, it's inspiring. Instead of groaning about it all, he embraces it! And is the best dad ever to his girls. So, happy Father's Day dad. I am so lucky to have such an amazing example in my life. Love you.

Because for the past couple days, I have been feeling like Brannigan is a baby. And in case you don't know, babies are extremely busy and a lot of work.
Don't get me wrong. I love, love, love this baby. It's just exhausting!
And so, I am relishing in his nap and my down time.
Ahh temporary bliss.
Haha just kidding.
Deep, deep down, I want Branni boy to wake up so I can play with him:)

Okay. So. The story isn't long or anything, Iwas just extremely tired last night. But here it is, in a nutshell: My Mommy went to the store to buy sheet protectors. And she came back with a puppy named Brannigan. And that's it! My Mama bought him on a whim, you see, so it was a lovely surprise for us all:)

Here are a few things I have learned in the 26 hours I have known him:

He gets the hiccups. A lot.

He is teething so he likes to nibble on fingers and toes.

He likes sleeping.

He is a fan of food.

He loves cuddling.

He's not very good at playing catch.

He likes taking naps with me.

He is happy, happy, happy.

He can fall asleep in a matter of seconds.

and... he is the cutest thing since cheese.

So far, that is all.

Ladies and gents, boys and girls. I, Sasha Beth Agle Jr Nestman the third, have a job! (And have for about 2 weeks now.) I've debated whether or not to share this information with you, not because I don't want you to know but because what if I feel the need to share you a story from work but I can't because of company privacy?? Ya know what I'm sayin? So for now, I just want to tell you all that I do have job, and it is in retail. Is it easy? No way jose. It is a challenge every day. I have incredibly low moments and incredibly high moments. Yes, yes. Who ever knew retail could be such a roller coaster?

While talking to my buddie MP, we were exchanging our stories of struggles we've had at work and then she stated the obvious but I hadn't really thought of it this way. She said, "At least we have jobs." So yes, at least I have a job. And I am ever so grateful for that and for the lessons I will learn.

In case you didn't know, my Daddy is an excellent writer. He writes independent screenplays as well as the screenplays for the "Liken" series.

Oh yeah, he also has a blog. He is actually the one who inspired me to start blogging. You should check out his blog HERE. His most recent blog is a beautifully written post about Abish actually. My daddy uses words in a way I have never been able to. It's amazing, really.

He also heads up a site called 'mormon daddy blogs'. You can go directly to it HERE. (PS My original intention wasn't to advertise for my Papa, it's just happening.) It's a site dedicated to the dads of the LDS church who blog. Why? Because there seem to be a lot of blogs written by LDS women. (Nie for example! Goodness, she is amazing...) So this site just gathers all the blogs written by some of the men of the church for those simply browsing.

This evening as I myself was browzing it, I saw that "Liken" was a sponsor. And what did it say? (I captured it...)

"Because real men watch musicals with their kids."

I don't know why but I absolutely love this! It made me chuckle. And wanna know something else cool? My daddy probably came up with that... because he is darn talented. And I love him. (oh and the me loving him part is irrelevant to his creativity but I just wanted to throw that part in there if that's okay with everyone... so... yeah.)

Ya know how Mr. C's birthday was at the end of May? Well a couple of his friends and I planned a surprise party for him. And it was so fun! Why? Because I've never planned a surprise party before! I felt like I was on the party planning committee from The Office. Hopefully I was Pam and not Angela or Phyllis... wowie. Anyway! I failed and didn't take pictures at the party. But we took some afterward... it's the thought that counts right? And here it is...

Tonight I went to a graduation dance. (It's kind of just a dance where all the seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshman get to dance one last time together.) It wasn't for my school, as I have been graduated for a week now (oh my goodness, I'm so old!), but it got me thinking about high school. And how much I love it and how much I'll miss it. As tough as it was at times, it was... amazing. And I wouldn't trade any of it for anything.

What do all these pictures have to do with it though? Well let me tell ya. Chris, Amos, and I were all in the same English class. And at times, we were supposed to do silent reading. But did we? No... not always. We took peechas. Lots and lots of peechas. Here are just a few:

Ladies and gentleman! Boys and girls! I, Alexandra, graduated with honors, an overall GPA of 3.9, and three letters, from high school on May 26, 2011. YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!! And what do I have to show for it? This little baby:

Boo-yah. I am overjoyed just thinking about it. It was an intersting ride, but a wonderful one at that. I'd like to thank all my wonderful teachers I've ever had, as well as my fellow peers who I have been honored to meet.
